[glow=blue,2,300]NOTE: Graphical version for alpha 9:[/glow]www.mediafire.com/?icv981pg6anusn7
Old info (for alpha 6): * Total graphical overhaul. Much darker and realistic theme, lack of "status icons" over characters which makes the game harder and more immersive. * Zombies can hear now. Careful with shooting. * Battery-using items last much longer. * Skeletons are replaced with dogs. * A bit of tribute to L4D: L4D-themed consumables (pills, medkit, adrenaline). * One of golf clubs is replaced with machete, The Axe replaced with chainsaw. * Various tweaks to enemies and weapons, firearms are a bit better now, but some enemies are generally harder to kill. * Better army gear. * Revised medical items. * Crowbars/knives/shovels do not stack, only makeshift weapons are fragile. * Better martial arts skill (10% chance to disarm/level). Yes it's complete, but I will release patches with time, finetuning it. =================================== I've realized that I forgot to include gameplay tweaks which I thought is an upgrade from the Genesis version. Deonapocalypse 1.1: - army rifle magazine increased to 30/30. - army body armor has 4 protection (was 3). - dogs' hp and damage increased. - medicine overhaul (read below). =================================== Medicine overhaul: * Medkit heals 8 hp and reduces stamina by 8, bad for healing in combat. * Painkillers (former known as bandages) heal 2 hp and 5 stamina. Good for combat healing. However they cause sleepiness, so don't eat too many, or your brain will require you to sleep. Stacks up to 5/5. * Adrenaline restores 50 stamina (usually all stamina), but reduces your health by 1. It's not healthy to use it a lot. * Energy drink (former known as blue pills) reduces your stamina by 5, but removes 120 sleepiness penalty. The stamina reduction is caused by bad can design which requires you to apply a lot of strength to open it! =================================== Enjoy!

How attached are you to the burning car tile? For some reason the smoke makes it look quite blocky - the areas outside the dotted red lines in the following picture. I made a quick and dirty edit to further show what I mean: Do you see the blockiness of the burning cars in the bottom and right edges of the screen compared to the one in the centre-right that I edited? Any chance you could edit that tile a bit and diminish the smoke in the indicated areas? It's literally the only tile that I don't think is fantastic (except that I would say the chain fence could do with having slightly bigger holes, at the moment it looks a little like some kind of stone rather than a fence).

I know what you mean. I wanted to redraw cars alltogether soon, so it should probably be fixed pretty quick .

Which eyes? Shamblers have dull eyes, high-tier zombies have glowing eyes.

Not to be in a pain your butt, BUT...
just like I asked with your other mod: any chance of you providing the graphics/sounds without the gameplay edits?
Also, like I said last time, even if you changed things like a skeleton to a dog, I don't mind if the image is different even if it still says skeleton. Don't make a new image on my part, I just enjoy playing with your amazing graphics.
Thanks!

Also... dwarf fortress might have a tear or two Deon is probably the only person (dead or alive) who's capable of such a thing.
