Think it would be good if corpses disappear with time this has been suggested before i think, (Or do they already disappear with time now?)

Corpses could be used by undead to regain health. It would be especially useful for player-controlled undead.

Kinda useless, since all they do is... nothing. Although, I like Deon's idea, and if that is implamented they could THEN dissapear after a while.

yes that idea is good deon, especially with the new twist coming with alpha 5. and toupz the corpses disappearing over time, wouldnt that just cause more screen clutter in teh game as is? i guess i dont follow what you're saying well enough to understand =[

Good idea eating corpses as zombie sounds evil and satisfying too

Zombies love corpses! A great idea.

I think it's a generally accepted convention that zombies don't eat the dead though. It might be interesting if those spots were unable to carry scent trails, as the corpses would have a strong, overpowering scent. And/or the character could risk getting sick walking over corpses. And then perhaps rain could wash them away.
Though all of this is assuming it wouldn't overload the game. A lot of corpses could slow things down significantly.
EDIT/ADDITION: Or maybe only the more intelligent zombies could use corpses in a restorative way, because again, it is a generally accepted zombie convention that once the thing is dead or turned they stop eating it.

I think if we have the possibility to reincarnate bodies and play in the same game world there should be corpses disappearing with time, i can,t imagine a whole district of corpses everywhere it would be encumbring

But there's no convention that zombies turn into demons and there're skeletons running around hehe. I think limiting it to player-only zombies should be fine. Or to high-tier Zeds.

how about with the addition of playing after death, having a few turns after a survivor is killed when you can feast on the body lasting only a few turn {5-10?} which would heal you. watch the old early 1980'2 Romero Dawn of the Dead, when the gangs busted into the mall then dead would feast on the bodies for a short while immediately after their death. seems they would do so for only a short while tho, maybe until the body lost its heat?

People, he isn't suggesting more bodies, he is suggesting that the corpses that come from dead people dissapear after a while. Where'd you guys get the ideas he asked for more bodies? He's essentially asking for less.

My main idea for this thread was simple: Bodies have some kind of timer then disappear after awhile, to clean the game world and not get it spammed like hell (For long gaming session where you keep reincarnating and playing in the same city) this would save every tile being corpses and also save pixel spam for the eyes because i can imagine a really long gaming session

Others somehow though you were asking for more corpses.

When you say "others", be specific . I offered a gameplay-affecting solution, that's all.

I think they should stay, but have uses to zombies/later zombie types.
Such as his idea for undead eating them. Maybe the good guys later on (National guard maybe?) Will transport out after a while other corpses so they can't just eat/ressurect/do evil zombie things with them.
