I always find my self creating a niche in a shopping district with shelves hiding my loot from the grubby hands of other survivors...so this idea came about. I would also like to preface this with i have no programing background so i do not know how LARGE of a request this is! This is, by far, no small suggestion but... I think we should be able to create a fort from scratch, say using carpentry to make walls/gun ports/barracks etc. One would use leadership to draw people into said fort, it could even get as complicated as to recruit watchmen and scavengers and leadership... growing into a trading post. There has been quite a few good suggestions already in place for craftable tiles that would work wonders with this idea. id also love to see a more "open ended" way of playing, maybe instead of a set grid of districts, maybe randomly generated "outside" areas of other city cells/wilderness-- this would tie into the recruiting scavengers and could lead into all kinds of fun random events... other cities invading us, zombie hordes from completely dead cities... ill expand on this the more ideas i get as a final note id just like to say, i love this game, props to jack on creating such a great game...i have been looking an experience like this since i got into this genre!

i like the idea of being able to build a trading post/fort. maybe, once you reach a certain level of development, you could construct farms to raise food(small amounts, don't want to make the game too easy).
and before all the nay-Sayers poopoo this idea, if you don't want to be able to do it, then JUST DON'T FUCKING DO IT!
