Would it be possible to get more / varied zombie behaviours put in the game?
At the minute, pretty much every zombie runs around like they're on crack and speed at the same time.
Personally, I feel they should just stand around, looking docile, unless they're being led by a zombie master or chasing a character. Maybe slowly wander towards some smell, but certainly not the current hunt mechanisms. Maybe give the current "run towards whatever smell you find" to other, more hunt-centric zombies (like zombie dogs or something).
Zombies should also congregate around corpses and eat them, in my opinion. Possibly gain life from it, too, as I see a lot of low/half-life zombies that I quite happily gun down.
What I'm essentially asking for is that zombies have more complex behaviours than their (admittedly terrifying) current "chase after every smell like crazy".

You mean like in dead rising some zombies are retard and completly ignore you and just stand there and move really slowly till they finally realise you. Or some zombies carry around shopping carts and just bump in you with em? Idk in dead rising some zombies run, some are slow and some are retardead like hell and barely move

I agree about corpses, I gave this suggestion before.
Also I would prefer zombies to react to sound, right now they totally ignore it. It would be more interesting if they generally stood at one place, following zombie masters, but when they hear something they would rush towards that location. An item which produces sound/attracts zombies would work well with such behavior (i.e. a signal rocket).

Another idea: Zombies don't lose the armour they had in life. They keep it on. Makes zombies who were strong opponents into stronger zombies.

I agree with OP. This would alter the ambience of the game in a positive way. Another idea: Zombies don't lose the armour they had in life. They keep it on. Makes zombies who were strong opponents into stronger zombies. That should really be implemented. Zombis should keep all items they had when they were turned, except for equipped weapons and equipped items. As a player you wouldn't be able to see what items a zombie is carrying.

Idk in dead rising some zombies run, some are slow and some are retardead like hell and barely move Unfortunately this still happens, albeit to a lesser degree, in this game. If you have a rifle and are out of their field of view, you can shoot them without them noticing. Fun little tactic against the tougher ones, as most can't see eight squares away. The sound bit could solve this though, if they rush towards the sound then.

Yeah, in my mod zombies react to sounds, so you should be careful with shooting. I've found that this made melee weapons much better, and the game much harder . No more zombie-sniping hehe.
