title says it all, how long have you survived in the game so far? im just curious about this as i am only a few hours of gameplay in to RS and many new games as i adjust back to a PC based game that requires actual thought ;D
i'll start with my meager attempts so far having amassed a total of 13 days {and 15 hours if i recall} in an unmodded game of Alpha 4. myself and 2 followers had to make a run for food as we were all starving, only to get horded upon opening the door to my CHAR hideout. in retrospect prob not the best place to use as a base as they do only have the one way in which is really cool... until you need to flee.
alright guys, blow me out of the water!!

I generally play with the largest city and district sizes set, and then adjust the civilian and zombie levels so the difficulty is 100% (I can be more specific in a later post if you like) and I think my longest run has been 21 days, without saving and reloading. Not overly impressive, I know, but I make some pretty elaborate bases, and generally get killed by "That guy" s outside . Have yet to play through a game and save and load several times, and am considering playing on the default settings again sometime soon to see how long I can go for.

My longest run with difficulty around 130% was 29 day's. Killed by 2 zombie master's in the corner of my safehouse beacause i think i forgot to use the scent spray, so i got chased down by LOT's of zombie's and in the end i ran out of ammo and died.

13 days and a bit. I was safely baricaded into my police station basement, I had killed all the zombies in the cells, stacked everything in piles of the same type (I had loads of everything) and didn't realise an NPC had got in and started taking my stuff!
Not only that, I think some zombies followed her down, so I fought back to the main door where I found hordes following three clowns. What worried me more were the zombie national guard (who had previously done so well clearing the district).
They beat me back downstairs, desperately trying to slow them down with large fortifications, but it was a last stand in the store room, where the NPC fired a few shots then went and hid in the corner and that's where it all ended.

woot woot i are excite! ive made it to day 17 this run so far by starting off in a shopping dist next to a grocery store, then hoarding the food in the basement and making it a base of ops. next was daily trips around to scavenge. by day 7 i had 5 full squares of army rations, one of canned food, one of medkits and weapons galore. only trick is now army drops are coming less frequent and i think i may have to jump ship to another district soon.
have i mentioned that i <3 this game =]

I have a one Wayne Sanchez who's on day 38. Every maxed skill, army rifle with backup ammo, three followers in body armor, and I cleared the CHAR area and restored power but I haven't killed the special monsters. It got annoying having to fit me and my teammates everywhere, although having my own assault team was pretty cool
Actually, that was 4.11 and I haven't played it since. It was pretty easy to wander the streets with no weapons and take zombies apart after beefing out, but being zombified seems like the perfect finishing touch. Now you can join the horde who kills you and fight for brains.
It even makes Leadership kind of a zombie prep breakfast.

Man, I felt accomplished when I made it to day 14 before finally being killed. I had a good group going but we made the mistake of being on the left side of the district, no exits nearby and suddenly surrounded by a pincer attack of zombies, a disciple and a zombie master. I haven't made it beyond that point yet but I will eventually.

Aw man. And here I am stoked that I've managed to hold it together for 6 days so far. (still going, though.) Vanilla settings. Alpha 6.
Though, admittedly, I spent 3 days holed up with a stockpile of groceries in a medium-sized gun shop with all the shelves pushed against the exits. I weathered bikers and then the National Guard showed up. I cracked the massive wall of shelves and annihilated the errant shamblers gathered outside the door and went out in search of food, capping policemen and citizens as I went. The National Guard seems remarkably okay with you putting a bullet between the eyes of one of their sleeping friends, by the way. Found a few holed up in a subway station not far from my gun shop and figured they'd have some better hardware. I popped one that was sleeping while the other two stood idly by and ignored the rather upset cop in the corner who was struggling to list off all the people I'd killed. They also stared blankly as I beat the officer to death with a truncheon (didn't want to waste the ammo.)
Though, since I've gone on such a colourful murdering spree, I've noticed that some things in my victims' inventory disappear after I kill them. Wasn't sure if that was on purpose, though.
On a whole, man, having a blast. Also, definitely the longest I've lasted by a long stretch.

to clarify, some things get destroyed, you don't think that when you bash a cop to death his radio, and gun will fully work, do you?
