Sneak
In many zombie games, you can sneak to avoid being seen, but as good as this game is, it does not give us that option.
I think it would be nice if we could sneak (and give our followers that order too), making us a bit slower but making it possible to hide behind small furniture and barricades
1) We could use it to peek outside our fort to see if there is any danger without being seen. 2) You could get a extra shot (an extra action) before the zombies notice you. 3)Or just to walk past them if there are enough obstacles to hide.
Waiting
We can wait in the game, but we can't tell our followers to stay in a single spot for a while. If we tell them to stop following us, they will wander around, which is not good if you wanted them to stay hidden while you were taking care of a few zombies you saw, not wanting to risk your follower.
I think we need both options in the game to make it better, do you?

you can order them to guard a spot, and they will stay there for awhile, not sure exactly how long though.
sneaking would be an awesome feature, and would definitely come in handy, especially against "Those guys", bikers, gangsters, and other hostiles. maybe we could set up an ambush, using cars and furniture as cover, then put our companions in place and order them not to fire until you do.

Yes, you can order them to guard a spot, but to make them stop, you have to tell them to stop following you, then to follow you again. If there is an easier way, I'm too stupid to find it.

I had my follower killer by those guys just a while ago. Ran to get a med kit to revive him, but the body was not there anymore when I got back. I felt so sad...

We're talking about undeads with a sense of smell so acute, they can smell the trails of humans, not to mention, their sight does not waiver, neither in light nor night, which means that their senses are more than up for spotting humans.
Bikers ain't hostile at first sight, which means that they have plenty of opportunity to see you before they start attacking.
CHAR Guards....well, all they have to do is watch for people passing through a door, not to mention, the place is brightly lit up, and this ain't no Splinter Cell or Insert Generic Stealthgame.
"Those guys" are highly-trained military personnel, you can blindfold Elite Soldiers and they'll still be able to shoot you with precision.
Gangsters are pretty much the same as bikers.
Not to mention, we're talking about frightened survivors in an apocalypse, with zero opportunity to buckle down their equipment, carrying around ammunition boxes, guns, canned food and other items that are bound to make sound as the Survivor in question ducks their way through streets and alleyways
