No because cars are at surface and subways are underground

Oh, no. I mean at the top. Put cars in front of the door at the top of the subway. In the building above.

Old pic of my subway base design, Subway station central thingy building is fortified on surface Omg that is an impressive setup, I did not get any real success with barricading myself in. Only lasted a couple of day with the subway stations. Best design I had was a metro station in a PARK district at the edge of a Comercial district with an EXIT straight from the entrance. Barricaded the streets with cars and forts and shopped in the Comercial district. Eventually got overrun by waves and waves pf pesky bikers. Not to mention the more than occasional refugee roaming around with a yellow H Other attemps got ruined by ZOMs. My best success was 17 days, hopping from places to places, barricading temporarly for a fews days then move out when food ran thin. Forts and barricades somwhat seems weak...

Toupz, I assume you get in and out by zoning from the right side of the subway tracks? Heres a couple of screenshots of my latest attempt at barricading myself in a Gigantic Food Mart. ---- Image1: Iniatial operation, food, valuables sleeping area in SE corner, 3 levels of layered shelves with checkered pattern to block line of sight. Eventually I will block the entrance with cars. Image2: Details of the food area, and the "checkered" entrance. Basically I had food for weeks. And barelly got out once cars were blocking the entrance. Image3: After the 3rd attack. Notice I have less shelves as I had to reinforce more and more. Also notice the way the shelves are broken from the entrance. "It" went for a straight 45 degrees entrance then managed to dodge the checkered entrance without breaking any shelves. Hardly random if you ask me. Is the AI cheating? Anyways I had to pull, push my way out. Image4: The 4th and last attack. Again only a couple shelves bashed here and there. But the ZM was clearly coming for me.

ec0666 that's a really big supermarket, i'd like to say you did a good thing choosing it as a home you can stay barricaded inside..though it's kind of suicidle to do so XD. It's good for a couple of days though, but food markets are usually the worst place in Rogue Survivor to barricade yourself in, at least in my opinion. I'm not playing a death=death game though, but i have 150 max zombies and 60 max civilians and right now there seems to be zombie princes everywhere on surface, i always thought the subways was a good hideout when used correctly (Because if used wrongly, it's a human trap and feast for zombies) I had heavy raids in my subway hideout until i realised exiting by the left side to go on surface was the best way to prevent zombies to track my scent, i did exit on the same district when using scent cover right after entering my subway station though, i'm stacking up on those scent covers. I survived 34 days so far and only died two times, i prefer raising my skills and exploring the city but i'll eventually play death=permanent next game.

Toupz: Im gonna try a middle section subway this time (tunnel in between 2 stations), hopefully Ill get one generated in between 2 Comercial sections so I can haul all the stuff.
I dont know if Z spawn inside the middle, or civilians for that matter but at this point it seems to be the best option. Afterall subject is the impenetrable fortress ...
Gonna take some screenshots.

I can't wait for those screenshots, make sure to never exit your subway hideout from the district you're in unless you have scent cover.

So far so good... on day 52 80 now. With evolve off, food will become scarce later on so I dont know what to say. This hideout almost feel lke cheating but evetually you will have to go out for army drops and what not. I think the game is lacking in end game skills like, electricity and gardening to be able to build regular gardens and or hydroponical gardens or something. I mean I basically just hop and kill, gather stuff, dig in now.... Getting away from the excitement of the early days. Not much to do Or to improve your base, rebuild civilization or someting. Have a melee build and wont look back, the big hammer with stamina max almost feel like cheating too, then after It broke and couldnt find more, I started to just use shovels, and baseball bats. I am hitting 15-17 average dmg on zombies with shovels. No ammo to haul + high stamina = run from Zs without problems, push, shove your way out of zombies. and wack a LOTS of them. Agility is a must too. Maxed = barely gets it. Basically for my experience so far meele = Agi > Sta > Strong. And without princes of darkness, evolved stuff I feel like firemarms is overated. Even SpecsOPs guys, I mean at 50 STA 21 DEF they are easy to run around, avoid. I will post screenies, right now I dont go back to base often as early in the game as I am maxed in FOOD and SLEEP skills and pills allow you to run very long. Definitly get a subway tunnel in middle of 2 stations, haul food there, no scent needed, no barricades no npcs, no zombies. Just level. Will prolly get fixed. This it the only safe place in the game:Barricades just for show at some point I got bored, nothing ever happens here. (Difficulty is at 50% because this is the reincarnatiion of my previous guy in this thread. Evo off rest at default.) *** UPDATE *** Turning off evolution definitly makes it too easy + subway hideout. Also found a way around the food problem in between army drops. Take a follower with food lure him down in my base, wait for trust to go up, have him give me all his food. Let em starve. Rinse and repeat. Agi + Sta + Strong + Martial Art = 30 Attk 19 Dmg. Gonna try same build and same strategy with evolution on. *(edit grammar + added some explanation + updates)
