Has anyone played Rogue Survivor on a netbook, and if so, does it work?
I'm going on a trip soon, and I'm considering picking up a cheap netbook so I can play this and other roguelikes, and I'd like to make sure that the game would work first.
I'm assuming that picking up a netbook would be the cheapest way to play this and other roguelikes on the go?

Well, that depends. Netbooks are sort of like cheap laptops, so what is a cheap netbook like? If it has at least 1 GB ram, and a 1 Ghz (or better) cpu, chances are it will run Rogue Survivor. My buddy runs it on those specs. You might want to make sure it has some support for opengl/directx though before you buy it. I've seen a few in the past that had virtually no graphics support. If you want to check out the netbooks in store, or are just lazy and can't be bothered to look up their chipset online there is an easy way. Just hit the window key + r together, then type dxdiag into the prompt that appears and hit enter. A display with some tabs and information should pop up. At the bottom of the system tab should be what version of directX your graphics card (if any) supports. As long as it says version 9 or above then your good.

Thanks for that, and yeah it definitely seems worth checking opengl/dirextx. I was very surprised that it didn't work on my PC to begin with, and I had to update my /NET framework before it would work.
