The new release has landed. This one comes with a number of major changes and additions, so I've added a new section to the manual (press H in-game) to explain all the mechanics that RS:SA has introduced on top of the vanilla game. Have a skim through that, particularly if you turn the Advisor Hints off.
A very special thank you must go to Jess, who's amazing artwork has brought more atmosphere to a collapsed and decaying world, and it adds immeasurably to the game. Jess also offered a number of the ideas that were implemented in this release, and performed a huge amount of testing during development. I'm very grateful that Jess found the RS forums and was keen to contribute to Still Alive. Thanks Jess!

-NPCs and the player now have a chance to extinguish fires on self by Waiting (stop-drop-and-roll).
-Corpses now list cause of death when hovering over them.*
-Players can now bury corpses. This will leave behind a burial cross with the deceased's name.*^
-Players can now destroy items from their inventory, removing them from the world permanently.
-Items that are dropped by NPCs and go untouched for 4 days are despawned from the game for performance optimisation (configurable in Options).
-Players can now change their clothing outfit, shoes, and hairstyle in the relevant stores at the shopping mall.
-Added an option to configure how frequently undead and dogs will growl when doing actions (eg. attacking).
-Added section 9 of the manual to explain all the RS:SA-specific changes and additions.
-Prisoners now wear a distinctive uniform.*^
-Improved the sprites for the following items: books, magazines, dynamite, medikit, bandages.*^
-The world now decays as time passes (configurable in Options).*^
-Players can unload the ammo from their equipped ranged weapon.*
-Livings now scream when they are killed by undead.*
-Added a Bio Force Gun. CHAR and their shady weapons R&D...
-Screams SFXs now play relevant to the NPC's gender. Death at the hands of an undead has a distinct SFX for each gender.
-Melee and ranged weapons now have weight, which can reduce one's speed (-0.01 SPD = 1 turn skipped in every 100).
Fixes:
-Killing gang members that accosted you (ie. self-defence) no longer counts as murder.*
-Buffed flame weapons, nailguns, and crossbows, and balanced all ranged weapons.*
-Fixed RS Alpha 10 bug that made "the prisoner" invincible.*
-Guard booth door in the police station jails level is now locked.
-Fixed the cause of "the prisoner" dialog not being initiated.*
-Corrected logic when dropping items (now will drop on the spot rather than beside it, unless absolutely necessary).
-Fixed issues with banks safes not working as intended.
-Added missing actions to the keyrebind menu.
-Fixed NPCs taking forbidden to AI items.
-Improved logic of NPCs rating the value of certain types of items when trading.
-Perishable stuff (eg. undead corpses, blood splatters, etc) no longer render when out of FOV.*
-Fixed cause of corpses infinitely appearing to be on fire under certain circumstances.*
-Alleviated some of the priority towards NPCs endlessly trading amongst each other.
-Fixed church bells not ringing loud enough when in a district with a church after loading a saved game.
-Exploding fuel cans no longer destroy walls.
-Fires no longer travel through walls.
-Fixed fire resistance of armor, and the encumbrance of the fire hazard suit.
-When Immediate Zombification (Std mode) is on, NPCs zombified by a hit from an undead now have their corpse removed.
Misc:
-Adjusted the items spawned at stores, junkyards, houses, army and CHAR locations, churches, and farms.
-Reduced the accuracy penalty when uses ranged weapons whilst having a shield equipped.
-Added more items to army supplies drops.
-Added advisor hint and message notifications regarding extinguishing fires on oneself.
-Reduced the decay of blood splatters from 5 days to 3. Added decay for explosion & fire scorches, and piles of vomit.
-Items that solely restore sanity are no longer spawned if the sanity system is disabled at new game creation.
-Benches are now movable.
-Autosaves now occur every 540 turns rather than 360.
-Tweaked the advisor hints to not spam quite so much on the first few turns.
-Permadeath no longer gives a scoring multiplier.
-Less likely to vomit when siphoning fuel now.
-Increased the FOO and SLP penalty from vomiting.
-Can now cut down trees for planks (an appropriate melee weapon is required).
-A bladed weapon is now required in order to butcher corpses.
-Dogs now only spawn in certain conditions (mostly based on district - you're unlikely to find them in Green districts).
-Maximum Dogs option is now Maximum Animals (applies to chickens, rabbits and dogs, but not fish).
-Reduced the default daily zombie invasion increase from 5 to 1, and default max undeads cap from 100 to 80.
-Expanded the radius of lit area around object fires an extra tile (configurable in Options).
-Tidied up the game manual to remove line wrapping cutting off words.
-Added a few extra clothing items.
-Removed the chance of heavy rain when starting a new game.
-Added police cars.^*
-Reduced the chance for dynamite to spawn.
-Defending oneself from aggressively hungry civilians is now only self-defense.*
-Tweaks to the kennels and jail cells.
-Tile fires now damage corpses.
-Buffed the Light Feet skill.
-Added antiviral pills to army supply drops.
-Buffed medikits and cigarettes.
DEVELOPMENT:
-Moved HARDY to last Living skill position in the CSV, as it now needs two lines to fit its description on the skill selection screen.
-Add a timer task for adding MapObjects.
-An issue (assumed pre-existing) has been discovered whereby the game may crash on district change if District Simulation is set to Off.
